We’d like to think of BROOKLYN KINDA LOVE’s Episode 6 as somewhat of a game changer. Bek and Erin broke out the tears over the “waxing” ordeal, Frances and Braniff finally let another girl into their bedroom, and Rhiannon seemed ready to slip back into substance abuse! So, what were the repercussions of all that? Episode 7’s got the answers. First off, Bek and Erin got quite a lot of screen time this week, which led to some interesting revelations. Bek had briefly brought up her “strict upbringing” before, but now we got some insight into just how harsh it was. Coming from a family of self-described “Jesus freaks,” Bek had a tough time coming to terms with her sexual identity. She shared an emotional story about her first girlfriend and all of the efforts that her parents took to keep them apart. Erin seemed to lighten the mood a little, dressing up as the holy man for their wild Halloween party. Nikki and Chris brought up issues that we all can identify with – money.

So are you hooked on BROOKLYN KINDA LOVE or what? In the past five weeks, we’ve seen fights in the streets, sex toy demonstrations, New York swingers clubs, pregnancy scares, and tons of truly touching moments between the couples. But here’s the best part, the season’s barely at the halfway mark and judging by Episode 7’s teaser, the craziest stuff is yet to come. But let’s look back on Episode 6, shall we? What did we discover about our eight favorite Brooklynites thus far? Rhiannon has let us see a little deeper into her “substance”-heavy past and admitted to having OCD. Could there be a connection between the two? Looks like we’ll find out next week. Is that REALLY what we think it is? Like we’ve said many times before, this is Playboy TV so NOTHING is off limits. And how about those confessions from Frances and Braniff? We’re giving them both major kudos for opening up like that.

When I first met Amanda and Daniel, I thought, “Aw, some nice hippies who live in a tent. They’ll probably be very shy and sweet but swingers – really? They’re probably just kind of interested in the ‘free love’ aspect of things here.” How wrong I was. Amanda walked into the Swing house like she was coming home; she reminded more of the take-charge New Yorkers I know than some sort of diminutive girl who’d just stumbled off a commune. Before I’d even blinked, she’d already made a beeline for Jizelle.
