Before Juno, recent Oscar winner Diablo Cody took off her clothes for a living. After dabbling in stripping and phone sex, Cody shifted careers from adult entertainment to writing. That doesn’t mean she has completely put behind her naughty past.
At yesterday’s Oscar ceremony, Cody showed off her tattoos as she walked the red carpet in an animal print gown with a provocative slit up the side. Stuart Weitzman offered Cody a pricey pair of shoes to wear for the event. Upon finding out that the shoes were worth million dollars, Cody refused to take part in the expensive publicity stunt. On her official blog, Cody writes, “I'm actually really pissed about this, now that I think about it. They're using me to publicize their stupid shoes and NOBODY ASKED ME. I would never consent to a lame publicity stunt at a time when I already want to hide. I'm sorry if I sound like a party-pooper, but Jeebus.”
