What a wild season of PLAYBOY SHOOTOUT it has been. Who knew Playboy TV’s centerfold reality show would capture the attention of the country, the internet, and beyond?! From Yahoo News stories, to radio interviews, to an explosion of Tweets and Facebook messages, PLAYBOY SHOOTOUT has been our phenom of the season! And how could it not be? In between all the drama, the celebrity guests, and the Uncensored online auditions, there has literally never been a dull moment throughout the entire series. Sure we’ve had to say goodbye to some very memorable characters (don’t worry Dany, we’ll never forget your “monster truck”), but we’ve also been able to zero in on four competitors that have captured the eyes of the fans AND Mr. Hugh Hefner himself! Only he can make the final call on whether Olivia or Shanna makes it to the July issue of Playboy. And on May 29 at 10pm, that decision gets shared with the world! Crystal Harris, Kristina Shannon, and Karissa Shannon (aka The Girls Next Door) are coming down to the studio to hand off the verdict. The challenges are done, the pictures have been shot, and one model and one photographer are about to make Playboy history. We’re talking a full-blown centerfold spread, appearances in videos and Playmate Profiles, Cyber Girl galleries, and of course, the coveted title of Miss July 2010 (who knows she may even be our next Playmate Of The Year)! And as for our photographers Morgan and Kate…if getting your pictures published in Playboy magazine isn’t a springboard for a hot career, we don’t know what is! So who will the big winners be? We can’t drop any spoilers here, but we CAN say that the PLAYBOY SHOOTOUT finale is going to make for one of the most exciting televised moments we’ve ever aired! So the bottom line is, get that relationship fired up OR ELSE. How do you do it? We recommend starting mellow then building to a sensual Playboy-inspired climax. First, circle an upcoming Saturday on the calendar that works for both of you. Then set the plan in motion. Do your homework and buy a “treat” that would be considered cutesy and thoughtful (no need to worry about cost, simple Hallmark cards work fine). If there’s kids involved, get ahold of your best babysitter and make sure to keep them occupied. Pick out a home dinner option that includes a meal you both will love. And last but not least, cuddle in at 9pm for some Playboy TV DATE NIGHT. PLAYBOY SHOOTOUT: The Most Anticipated Playboy TV Show Of The Year!

How long have we been telling you about PLAYBOY SHOOTOUT? If you recall, way back in November we were Tweeting for recruits to apply for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And WOW, did we get a lot of responses! You remember the premise, right? A Playboy Idol type competition (if you will) that gives 10 amateur photographers and 10 amateur models the chance to actually make it into the pages of Playboy magazine! What guy hasn’t fantasized about being able to shoot Playmates for a living? What girl wouldn’t want to be showcased in the magazine and launch a career that’ll expose her to millions of fans. For both sides, taking a shot at PLAYBOY SHOOTOUT was simply a no-brainer. The hard part for us was actually sifting through the mountains of incredible submissions and narrowing the final list down to 20. We were obviously VERY impressed with all of the pix that showed up in our mailbox, but alas, 1,000 contestants would not make for a truly compelling showdown (there’s always Playboy TV CASTING CALLS for that). Instead, we’ve gathered the crème de la crème and sent them to our Malibu mansion for an exercise in talent, drama, and winner-take-all dedication. Imagine the feeling of meeting hostess (and former Playmate of the Year) Brande Roderick, getting mentored by legendary photographer Arny Freytag, and taking on challenges from a panel of judges that include Miss November ’04 Cara Zavaleta, Playboy camera god Stephen Wayda, and an array of guest celebrities! And believe us, this is no fluffy, lightweight reality show. We’re pairing each photographer and model into random teams and putting their skills to the test with timed shoots that require creativity, rapid-fire instincts, and an overflow of sexiness! You’ll never know what elements Brande will throw into the mix (motorcycles, bathtubs, fireballs), but if our teams can’t turn them into absolutely stunning pictorials, they’ll be shown the door! And as with all cutthroat competitions, there is definitely a fair share of backstabbing, catfighting, and temper tantrums to keep things entertaining. Ultimately, only 1 photographer and 1 centerfold will get Hef’s final thumbs up, and we are not kidding when we say you WILL be seeing them in the magazine, in the media, and beyond. So stay ahead of the Playmate curve, catch up on the buzz, and don’t miss the one-hour premiere of PLAYBOY SHOOTOUT, Saturday April 3 at 10PM!
