Yikes! After Episode 3, we were starting to wonder if this series should get retitled BROOKLYN KINDA LULLABYES! Baby talk was definitely on the mind of our couples, but it wasn’t the cutesy googoo gaga crap you’d see on TLC. As we’ve said many times before, BROOKLYN KINDA LOVE is all about gritty reality, which means taboo topics like abortion are bound to come up. As in the case of Vinny and Rhiannon. Viewers got tipped in to a major secret from Rhiannon’s past, one that continues to haunt her and stir up plenty of tears in the bedroom. Nikki and Chris had the dreaded “should we keep it” conversation after a pregnancy scare in the beginning of the episode. She seemed excited about the prospect of motherhood, while he felt they may not be ready yet. Thankfully (or not) it was a false alarm, but definitely raised some red flags about the risks they’re taking with unprotected sex. Bek and Erin were mainly MIA from Episode 3, but looking at next week’s teaser, it’s clear they’ll be back in a MAJOR way. As for Frances and Braniff, they’re clearly becoming one of the series’ most colorful couples. The fights, the outrageous comments…Should we start a drinking game every time she says “masturbation?” This time they’re going at it because Braniff can’t keep up with Frances’ uncontrollable urges. Trust us, you may want to lower the TV volume just a few decibels each time these two pop up onscreen. But hey, we did get to see some pretty cool salsa moves at the dance class, right? As you can tell by next week’s trailer, this series is just getting wilder and wilder.
